here’s what they don’t teach you in school about this shit.
you write x lines of code, you’re going to have y number of critical bugs.
i don’t care who you are, how fucking good you are, how many lines you’ve written total, you’re going to get that critical motherfucking bug that you didn’t catch and it slipped through and i’m sure you could come up with a million reasons to explain why it happened.
but it does happen.
and then you have to deal with it.
and man, looking down at it, at what it could potentially mean - schedule set backs, weekends disappearing like that, everything kind of blending together into a rather disturbing tableu of … well, compile errors really.
and you have to deal with it.
fess up to it.
hope that you don’t get fired over it.
and i say all this because it just happened to me, sort of, it seems, maybe, i’m not even sure myself, and i have no idea what the hell to do. fuck.
